The Teaching Factory Competence Center is oriented on providing education and innovation services to the manufacturing industry. The competence center is focuses on enabling the knowledge exchange between the academia and industry and on creating added value for the services and products of manufacturing companies by promoting innovative technology and research activities performed by academia. For this scope, the TF CC provides a set of Learning Services and Innovative Technical Services to their customers aiming to the Interdisciplinary learning, research & experimentation and to exploit of research results towards industrial applicability in pilots.

TF CC Technological Areas have emerged from the needs and challenges of the national manufacturing industry, combined with a set of solutions based on the technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Digital Twin and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The Teaching Factory paradigm integrates research (by bringing together novel ideas validated in academic test-beds), education (by learning through practice for students and upskilling practitioners), and innovation aspects (by maturing novel concepts and applying them to industrial environment), creating a Knowledge Triangle essential for boosting National and European competitiveness.

TF CC will bring together industrial actors (factories) and academic actors (classrooms) and facilitate the launch of collaborative manufacturing training projects with mutual business interest for both types of actors.

Our main task is to sell results of scientific research and inventions owned by the University of Silesia.
